remixing history: creative, vivid and luminous!

Last night we performed our Remixing History gig at the MCA as part of a festival that seems to have three names (to compensate for something, Sydney?). Creative Sydney, which is part of Vivid Sydney which is part of Luminous Sydney. Creative, vivid AND luminous! Like a Sydney drag queen, or a coked-up private school girl puking in the Cross. We’re three times cooler than Melbourne!
It was our biggest set-up yet – and biggest crowd. The audience squawked and giggled at memories. Thanks to all the organisers (of all three festivals) for the hour of power. And thanks to super-haired David Ford for making this piece of confronting drunk-James-rambling. I should stop trying to impress. I was personally happy with finding some new archival stuff (Keating calling Australia a Banana Republic, remember that?) and something about Kay Cottee, the was the first female sailor to perform go around the world in a boat by herself! Go Kay! Fourth Wave Feminism!
